The sandstorm was over. Most of the group set about salvaging what they could, and fixing what they must. Kade set off to find their path, though, as he had grown up in this environment.
A while out, on his searching to the north, Kade eventually saw a landmark. It wasn't much of a landmark, but in the deep desert, this is about as good as it got. A rocky outcrop stood out among the rolling dunes, Kade figured that if there were any consistant paths, they'd probably travel near the one visible object around.
Kade climbed to the top of the outcrop, it was a good 25 feet above the surrounding area, so he got a pretty good view of what lay around. Sure enough, Kade saw a trail. It was a faint trail, beings how it was just after a sandstorm, but it was definitely a trail. It was also going the general direction that they were going, this was a good sign.
Sitting there, Kade looked around. The desert. The light brown of the hills in the far far distance, the super light brown of the sand, the darker brown of various rocks standing out amongst the the rolling dunes. Kade hated the desert, this monochromatic hell.
Kade was not in a great mood.
